Loot
Progression
Aman – Home of the Valar offers a number of different methods of character progression for loot.
Global Loot
All mobs in Aman have a chance to drop armor from the list below. The percentage of chance for drops decreases slightly as the level increases, Overall, the chance for a Valarin drop is around 3 to 6 percent per kill. All mini-bosses have double the chance to drop Valarin armor and raid bosses have 100% chance to drop armor. See the list below for all globally dropped armor.
- Decayed Valarin Armor (Level 1-15)
- Weather-beaten Valarin Armor (Level 16-25)
- Irregular Valarin Armor (Level 26-35)
- Common Valarin Armor (Level 36-45)
- Elite Valarin Armor (Level 45-55)
- Noble Valarin Armor (Level 56-60)
Race-based Global Loot
In addition to global loots, every race (i.e. rat, wolf, treant, snake, etc.), has special loot that only that race can drop. These increase in power based on the mob level. For example, the following loots are available from Grendlaens throughout Aman. Note that global loot percentages are not listed on the Allaclone, though the items that drop are.
- Double Pronged Grendlaen Incisor (Level 10-30)
- Sharpened Double Pronged Grendlaen Incisor (Level 31-40)
- Polished Double Pronged Grendlaen Incisor (Level 41+)
Mini-bosses
Each zone has named mini-bosses to find and kill. These mobs drop rare items that are unique to them. To find mini-bosses for each zone, click on “zones by level” on the Allaclone and choose the zone you’d like to search. Note that this list will include quest NPCs. For a full list of unique/rare drops from mini-bosses click here.
Raid Bosses
Raid bosses are found throughout Aman and are typically the Valar themselves or very powerful Maiar. Raid bosses may come with faction consequences for killing them, as they are often associated with either good or evil NPC’s in Aman. Raid bosses are tuned similiar to Classic/Kunark raid mobs such as Lord Nagafen and Cazic Thule. The current list of raid bosses are below, but many more will be added in the future.
- Orome, Lord of the Forests (Illuvatar Faithful)
- Balrog of Morgoth (Servants of Morgoth)
Tradeskill Progression
Tradeskill armor and unique items are not yet fleshed out, but will be added in the future after all zones are released. The goal is to allow alternate progression for armor and clicky-items for players who are not able to raid. All tradeskill recipes are available to view or search on the Allaclone here.
